Sunrise, Fla. – The Florida Panthers and the Panthers Foundation today announced Hurricane Melissa relief efforts and ways fans can get involved.
On Nov. 1, fans will be encouraged to donate needed supplies, including water, flashlights, lanterns, tarps, insect repellent, hygiene products and Starlink satellite internet terminals, to collection bins in the Public Plaza before the Panthers vs. Dallas Stars game. All supplies will be sent to Jamaica to support relief efforts.
In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the November 1st 50/50 raffle will go toward funding supplies for hurricane relief efforts in Jamaica. Fans can purchase 50/50 tickets online at FloridaPanthers.com/5050Raffle or in person at Amerant Bank Arena on Nov. 1.
Panthers season ticket members will have an exclusive supplies collection during Pantherfest on Sunday, Nov. 2, and can drop off supplies at Amerant Bank Arena. Anyone can also drop off supplies at a drive-up supply drop-off at Fort Lauderdale’s War Memorial Auditorium on Monday, November 3rd from 3:00pm to 8:00pm ET, and at Amerant Bank Arena on Tuesday, November 4th from 3:00pm to 8:00pm ET.
The collected supplies will be donated to Experience Aviation, a local nonprofit founded by Barrington Irving, and will be flown to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Irving was born in Kingston, Jamaica and was the youngest and first black pilot to fly solo around the world. Barrington received the Panthers’ “Black Excellence” award in 2025.
