MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) — A young girl escaped the invitation narrowly on Thursday as she was back from school in North Miami, officials said.
According to an arrest report obtained by NBC 6 South Florida, the girl was walking down Northeast 10th Avenue when she spotted a silver car parked near a construction site.

She noticed the same car that approached her apartment, police said.
The girl was in the rear of the complex when the driver identified as 30-year-old Matthew Duchatellier grabbed her from behind and thrust her into his car, the report said.
Authorities say the girl managed to escape and Duchatelier rushed.
Witnesses reported seeing the entire incident, and investigators said surveillance video showed a silver car passing the girl before the kidnapping.
The detective said that the girl and Duchatelier did not know each other. He was arrested the day after the incident on Friday, August 22nd, on suspicion of attempting to lure a child under the age of 13, prison records show.
According to NBC 6, Duchatelier was already in supervised release status after being sentenced in a felony battery case in April.
