AUSTIN (KXAN) – Delta Air Lines confirmed Wednesday that one of the aircraft experienced problems while flying from Orlando to Austin on Tuesday.
According to the airline, the 1893 Delta Flight left Orlando on Tuesday and is scheduled regularly.

“After the 1893 DL landed safely and landed in Austin without any problems, we observed some of the left flaps being in place,” a Delta spokesperson said.

Delta said the Boeing 737 carried six crew members and 62 customers.
Shanila Arif, a passenger on the flight, sent Kxan footage of the incident.
“In the airplane was at about 12,000 feet altitude, but I noticed that some of the wings were broken and visibly peeled off,” Arif said.
Footage taken from the passenger window showed the detached portion of the plane’s left wing flap while in the air.
“This is a serious safety event,” Arif said.
Delta said he has used planes for maintenance.
“We apologise to our customers because it’s not as important as our people and our customers’ safety,” a Delta spokesperson said.
