Since Carnival cruise line Mardi Gras debuted from Port Canaveral in 2021, the ship has been bringing passengers on more than a week’s Caribbean trip. Guests will be able to enjoy a shorter voyage on board for the first time since 2027.
Carnival’s first Excel class ship, Mardi Gras, features the first roller coaster at sea, but will launch a new schedule of four and five nights sailing from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas in May 2027.
Guests looking for week-long sailing can choose to set sail for a carnival celebration from Port Miami, which will continue to offer seven nights of Caribbean in 2027 and 2028.
“We are excited to offer a new Excel-class ship in 2027 on our way to Port Canaveral and offer more ways to experience these amazing ships that our guests love. We have a new short itinerary at Mardi Gras for the first time.” “This gives guests more variety when choosing their next family holiday. Whether it’s a short escape at Mardi Gras in Port Canaveral or a week of sailing at the celebration of the beautiful sister Carnival from Miami.”
The key to the carnival celebration begins at the Grand Bahama with sightings of shacks, colorful fanfares
Carnival is currently sailing three Excel class ships: Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration and Carnival Jubilee. After the festival arrives in 2027, carnival fans can expect the arrival of the fifth Excel-class ship, Tropicale, in 2028.
Most of the new sailing offers a visit to Celebration Key, the new exclusive destination for the carnival on Grand Bahama Island.
