Walt Disney World Holiday Productions and former UCF professor and Disney Executive were among the winners of the Brasling Awards announced by IAAPA.
“What is this? Tim Burton is like a Christmas Singaporean nightmare,” part of the Disney Jollywood Night event at Disney Hollywood Studios was named the most creative winter holiday production. The show features the music and characters from the 1993 film directed by Burton.
One of three inspiration awards was given to Duncan Dixon after his death. Duncan Dixon is a professor of hospitality management at the University of Central Florida, and has cast for nearly 20 years at Walt Disney World for nearly 20 years. Dixon passed away in 2024.
These were the only Orlando-oriented recipients in the Global Competition, paying tribute to the excellence of live entertainment, food, marketing, sustainability gaming and product in the attraction industry. The winners were announced at the 2025 IAAPA Honorary Event held at Europe Park, at the end of Germany.
Universal Studios Hollywood won the most creative Halloween production for “The Purge: Dangerous Waters,” which was staged at the theme park’s Halloween Horror Night event.

The winners in three categories were “20 Jaal Collosseums” (the most creative and epic), Europe Park for its best health and wellness programmes and best innovation in training. And Molly’s Pier and Water Park in New Jersey is a customised game award for Curly’s Fried Dog Toys, visual merchand displays, custom retailer souvenirs. The Vancouver Aquarium was awarded for the Best New F&B Special Event (called Fish & SIPS) and the Best New Menu Item (Megalodon Burger).
The award will be held by the Orlando-based International Association of Recreational Parks and Attractions. A complete list of winners can be found on iaapa.org.
