Senator Tuberville announces whether he will run for Governor of Alabama

After coaching college football, Tuberville was elected to the Senate in 2020. He is a stubborn supporter of President Trump.

Washington – Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) said he will announce whether he will run for governor of Alabama on April 30th.

“The end of this month,” he said when asked when he was making an announcement in the Epoch era.

He said it was undecided.

Alabama-based Yellowhammer News reported on April 24 that Tuberville had decided to operate it.

“While the announcement of the official campaign is imminent in the coming weeks, the latest report provides insight into the final decision by Tuberville, who has been discussing for quite some time on the jump to the governor’s race in 2026,” according to the report.

Tuberville refused to report.

“I appreciate all the interest, but Suzanne and I still pray about how we can provide the best service to the people of Alabama. When there is an official announcement about my future, you can hear directly from me,” he posted X on April 24th.

Tuberville was elected to the Senate in 2020, beating former Senator (D-Ala.) and re-election in 2026. He was previously a renowned college football coach and led programs at Auburn University, Texas Institute of Technology and Sinshinnati University.

During the Senate, Tuberville is known for maintaining the promotion of hundreds of military members in protest of the Biden administration’s policy of funding travel for women’s service members to receive abortions. He eventually became tolerant, and the Pentagon policy remained there. It turned out in January.

He is a solid supporter of President Donald Trump.

“A+,” he told Fox Business Anchor Larry Kudlow when asked which grade he would give to the president in the first 100 days of his second term.

“What else can he do, Larry? They completely confused it. I was here for Joe Biden for four years,” he continued. “They did not do one thing for the Americans or for the country. They actually tried to destroy it and everything went down.

“Now, President Trump has a foreign war. He has deportation, borders, tax cuts. He is trying to save the economy. What a disaster has been created by the Democrats.”

If Tuberville runs for governor, the Senate Republican primary may include Attorney General Steve Marshall and Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), Gary Palmer (R-Ala.), Barry Moore (R-Ala.), Robert Adelholt (R-Ala.), and Dale Strong (R-Ala.).

Former Congressman Jerry Carl (R-Ala.) told the Epoch Times that he is considering running for a seat at Tuberville, but will depend on what the senator decides.

“We’re looking at it, but first we need to see what Tuberville does,” he said in a text message.

Mobile businessman Democrat Kyle Sweetser announced he will run for the Senate seat in Tuberville on April 16, according to Alabama news site al.com.

If Tuberville runs for governor, Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.), the first elected in 2022, will become Alabama Senator.
