Sea World Orlando pushed back the Arctic-based Flying Theater Ride’s debut for about a week. Expedition Odyssey will make its public debut on May 9th, not on May 1st, when it was originally announced.
According to an email sent to Pass Holder from the theme park, the preview of the annual Pass Holder, originally scheduled to begin on Saturday, has been changed to date from May 1st.
According to an email to Passholder, the new, large-screen attraction, which takes over the previous wild Arctic simulator space, will come with an animal display that will be open to the public on May 1st.
Expedition Odyssey transports visitors virtually through glaciers, across the tundra, into the depths of the Arctic Ocean. The footage seen on the curved screen, 50 feet in diameter, includes the appearance of orcas, beluga whales, polar bears, seals and walruses. The scene was filmed on three separate two-week excursions. The new attraction will have a 39-inch height requirement for passengers.
