“Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is perfectly suited to carry out commander duties,” noted a White House doctor.
President Donald Trump is in “excellent health,” according to his annual physical examination results.
“President Trump has demonstrated a robust heart, lung, neurology, and general physical functioning, maintaining excellent health. His active lifestyle continues to contribute significantly to his well-being. President Trump’s days include attending multiple conferences, public appearances, availability of press, and frequent victory at golf events.
“Overall, I felt it was in a very good shape. A good heart, a good soul, a very good soul,” Trump told Air Force reporters later that day.
Leavitt told reporters on April 11 that the trial will include comprehensive testing and imaging.
“There’s quite a bit of it to make sure the president is achieving all his goals,” Leavitt said. “And we’ll provide that read as soon as possible.”
The doctor’s notes show that Trump currently weighs 224 pounds. This is a 20 pound drop from his last presidential physical examination in 2020, when he weighed 244 pounds, Dr. Sean Conley said.
The president also has normal vision, hearing, thyroid function and lymph nodes. Examining his head, ears, nose and throat revealed no “significant abnormalities” when the shooter tried to assassinate Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, besides scarring in his right ear from a bullet wound.
Barbabera also noted that Trump’s lungs were clear and the scans showed no abnormalities. His heart tests showed normal speed and rhythm with normal heat function.
Trump’s abdominal tests and ultrasound are also normal, with “his joints and muscles having normal blood flow and no swelling in full range of movement,” writes Barbabera.
“Comprehensive neurological examination revealed no abnormalities in his mental state, cranial nerves, motor and sensory functions, reflexes, walking and balance,” he said, adding that the president scored 30 out of 30 in the Montreal Cognitive Assessment.
The president also recorded “within normal range” in screening tests for depression and anxiety symptoms.
“Skin examinations revealed some mild sun damage and some benign lesions. None of the lesions or growth related items were identified,” Barbabera said.
Trump also scored within healthy ranges of total cholesterol and his urine test was normal.
The trial pointed out that the president’s medical history includes “well-controlled hypercholesterolemia, seasonal allergies, history of COVID-19 infection, well-controlled rosacea, actin cornea, benign nevi, diverticulosis, benign colon polyps.”
Trump, who maintains lifelong abstinence from cigarettes and alcohol, was noted to take rosuvastatin and ezetimibe for cholesterol control, aspirin for cardiac prevention, and cametasone cream, which is necessary for skin conditions.
Barbabera also noted that the president is up to date with all recommended vaccinations, including “travel-related vaccinations.”
“President Trump demonstrates excellent recognition and physical health and is perfectly suited to fulfill his duties as a commander and head of state,” he writes.
