FORT MYERS, Fla. (WFLA) – New Age progression images show what the 18-year-old looks like after being accused of Fort Myers in 2006.
Forensic artists at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) created images of Brian dos Santos Gomez.

Officials said Gomez was accused of on December 1, 2006 by an unknown woman driving a black SUV in the late 90s, perhaps a Ford Explorer, around just 28 days. Gomez’s parents returned from a doctor’s visit when a woman who claimed to be from Tampa stopped to ask for directions because she was not familiar with the area.
The family got into the women’s car, but when she went to unload them, she had her mother, Maria and the baby in the car. The suspect, armed with a knife, was called a Hispanic woman in her late 20s, in her late 20s, and the two were still inside and drove. Maria flagged the bystanders who called 911. The suspect ordered Maria to the ground at Knife Point and ran away with the child.
Now, the new image shows what Gomez looks like today, at age 18.

Angeline Hartmann, Director of Communications at NCMEC, hopes that the widening image of age progression will help identify his true identity and Gomes who are unaware of his past.
“The 18 years without answers were 18, but I have never stopped searching for Brian,” said his parents, Maria Ramos dos Santos and Julandil Costa. “There’s no day when we don’t think of him and don’t question where he is. Brian, we love you so much. There are brothers and sisters who want to see you, and families who don’t want you to be there yet. We just want the answer.”

“For 18 years, the incident has remained close to our hearts and our commitment to revealing the truth never wavered,” Megan Fuentes said, a department’s public relations specialist. “Now that Brian is 18, I believe there will be a new opportunity for answers. He may be interested in his background, his identity, and where he came from.”
Investigators say the suspect’s accused of accusing Baby Brian could raise him as herself.
“We have to get the children back to these parents,” a detective at Fort Myers said.
