For the first time since the pandemic era began, Walt Disney World water parks will be open to guests at the same time. The resort’s Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will be open to the public even before its anniversary on Wednesday, May 21st.

Waterparks was closed in March 2020 as a precautionary measure against the coronavirus pandemic with other parts of Disney World. Disney closed two attractions until early March 2021, when Blizzard Beach returned to its schedule. Typhoon Lagoon resumed in January 2022, but Blizzard Beach closed.

Since then, Disney World has operated the water park on one open/open close schedule.

Progress Report: Disney World executives talk about theme park projects

Now celebrating its 30th anniversary, Blizzard Beach is open for business. Disney World announced Tuesday that Tiny Lagoon will close again on May 1st, and May 1st, when Tiny Lagoon is scheduled to reopen. But Blizzard Beach will return to its schedule from May 21st to September 7th, Disney says.

Typhoon Lagoon will turn off Disney H2O Glow again, a 18-night, 3-hour night event starting May 23rd. Tickets are $85 ($42.50 for ages 3-9) and will be available to the public on April 4th.

SeaWorld: Aquatica Water Park is coming to summer events

Both water parks feature food and drink products, including slides, wave pools, lazy rivers, splash pads and other watery attractions. This year, the resort will have free entry to the water park for Disney hotel guests on check-in day.
