Musk has garnered criticism for what is seen as an attempt to buy an election where more than $80 million has already been spent.
GREEN BAY, Wisconsin – Elon Musk garnered applause from supporters at the City Hall meeting on March 30, handing out $2 million to publicize the state Supreme Court competition for Republican-backed candidates.
He cast the race in historic terms and urged about 1,500 participants within the city’s convention center to mobilize friends and family to vote on April 1.
“What’s going on Tuesday is a vote for the party to control the U.S. House of Representatives,” Musk said. “And either party that controls a considerable degree of any party will control the country, which will steer the currents of Western civilization.”
The court currently has a liberal majority of four to three people, with one of the conservative justice being considered a swing vote. According to Musk, if that majority remains intact, Congressional district maps will be redrawn to support Democrats, changing the balance of Congress’ power.
Outside the convention hall, protesters opposed what they said was an attempt to buy a seat in the state’s high court.
The candidates for the 10-year term of competition are Waukesha County Judge Brad Simel, backed by Musk and Republicans, and Dane County Circuit Judge Susan Crawford, backed by the nation’s Democrats.
“Elon Musk is trying to buy Wisconsin, so we want to show him we’re not on sale,” Green Bay’s Christine Riery, 54, told The Epoch Times. Liary had helped organize sidewalk protests against masks, which police estimated to be around 300 before the event began.
Some protesters were more interested in Mask’s work as the government’s efficiency director. He says the reduction in the workforce has undermined the good work being done by civil servants.
Others protested what was deemed an unjust privilege for the wealthy.
“We’ve been billionaire pawns ever since Mayflower came here,” Valerie Horn, 41, of Waterford, told The Epoch Times. “We deserve a more equal society.”
Within the hall, Madison’s 53-year-old Nabin Jalkumilia was shrouded in mystery by protests against the mask. “I don’t know what my obsession with Elon Musk is,” Jalkumilia told The Epoch Times.
“The facts in question are 77%. Susan Crawford’s money came from out-of-state donors,” Jalkumilia said.
Jaruqumillia is the secretary of the Republican Party of Dane County, Wisconsin.

Some attendees approved the government’s efficiency mask job.
“What Elon Musk is doing is very praiseworthy, and I think he’s exposing waste and scams,” Kevin Maggie, 57, of Gillett, told The Epoch Times.
Ramona Marquato, 34, of Green Bay, recently gained interest in politics, but said she was impressed by Musk’s SpaceX and his work with values.
“A lot of what’s happening in school these days doesn’t match what I believe,” Marquardt, who has a second-grade child, told the Epoch Times. She said she appreciates President Donald Trump’s support for Musk’s position on education.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court later unanimously rejected the request for Cowl without comment.
During the event, Musk handed over $1 million each checks to Nicholas Jacobs and petition signer Ekaterina Dissler.
Musk has also announced an initiative by the US PAC to motivate door-to-door visitors to announce elections and Shimel’s candidacy. Participants will be paid $20 to have future voters posed for a photo that has a picture of Shimel.
Noting that the major betting markets have shown Crawford is most likely to win the race, Musk said extraordinary effort is needed.
“We’re basically going to go to the state draft,” Musk said. “Everyone is going to mobilise crazy everywhere for the next 48 hours. And I think this is important for the future of civilization.”

Election observers agree that the contest will come down to voter turnout.
Musk was attended by former Wisconsin lawmakers, Transport Secretary Sean Duffy and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.).
For over an hour, Musk submitted questions from attendees on subjects ranging from the use of artificial intelligence in education to government efficiency, Bitcoin, the Federal Reserve and Social Security.
Joined by investor Antonio Gracias, a member of the Ministry of Government Efficiency, Musk used many questions as opportunities to highlight what he described as a moving level of fraud and waste in government spending.
“We’re really just trying to get the government back to common sense,” Musk said. “Let’s see if we can increase our efficiency by 15%, and we’re sure we can.”
