The affected bags may contain another product made with cheese (Nacho cheese flavored tortilla chips).
“People who are allergic or severely susceptible to milk pose a risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction when they consume recalled products,” Frit Ray said.

The recalled items were sold in 13 states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Consumers were able to purchase the tip on March 7th. All affected bags are marked with a “guaranteed fresh” date of May 20th. The recall does not include any other products.
People who are allergic to milk or are severely sensitive should throw away their bags immediately, Frit Ray said. If you are not allergic to milk, consume the product safely.
Frito-Lay said it has notified the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the recall.
Earlier this year, the FDA classified recalls as “Class I,” defined by “a reasonable probability that use or exposure of a violation product will cause serious health effects or death.”
Ray’s classic potato chips have been on sale in Washington and Oregon from November 3, 2024.
