Based in the Palm Island area of North Queensland, the Instagram account shows many ominous videos of wildlife and other animals being attacked.
Instagram accounts showing Palm Island minors attacking animals are being investigated by Queensland Police (QPS).
The account, witnessed by the Epoch Times, includes multiple videos featuring local youths on the North Queensland Island off the coast of Townsville, showing the miserable treatment of both natives and introduced animals.
In one video, a young man is seen dragging a hard-hisking possum from the bush to the strings before talking about making “possum stew.”
In another youth, multiple youths are seen smacking helpless possums. The possum appears to be suffering and has gone bad from hitting the beat.
Possums appear to be abused on a daily basis, with multiple videos showing cruelty to their accounts.
Another possum video shows the kids miserably mimicking the bodies of multiple dead possums with the caption “Possum porn.”
The fourth video shows the kids playing and joking and taunting the furless baby possum.
Flicking the video on your account, another tragic scene follows the snake as he tries to escape before twisting around the scooter’s handlebars.
The more shocking footage shows the boy initially hugging a wild bird before he throws it.
Non-animal animals are also featured in the video, showing the boar lying down and screaming when a dog bites it.
The account has only 300 followers and comments on the video ranging from encouragement to cruelty to disgust.
A QPS spokesman told the Epoch Times that Palm Island Police is investigating incidents posted on social media, including animal cruelty, and urged anyone with information to contact them.
The Epoch Times contacted Queensland Youth Crime Minister Dan Purdy and the RSPCA.
Instagram is also being contacted.
A tragic video appears
The tragic discovery comes after another clip surfaced this month. It shows that many young boys are using dead black-headed pythons as skip ropes for the Urabinda community, two hours from Rockhampton, Queensland, in the area.
It was unclear whether Python in that video had already died before filming, but the video had a considerable number of opinions, criticism from the Environmental Department and the RSPCA, and extensive media coverage.
