One of Leu Gardens’ most popular annual events will be returning this weekend to give Green Thumbs a space for them to browse and buy a wide variety of plants.

Known to attract more than 15,000 people, the 28th Annual Plant Sales brings 63 vendors to Orlando’s 50-acre plant oasis from March 8th to 9th. Guests can find a wide range of green varieties, from plant trees to bromeliads and bamboo, everything will cover your living room, porch or backyard. Explore a variety of fruit trees, succulents, roses, orchids, Florida native options and more.

Plants are the focus of the two-day event, but shoppers can also browse pottery, garden statues, bird feeders, waterfalls, interior decorations, ice cream, coffee and food vendors with light bites.

The weekend sales date back to the late 1990s began as a way to connect plant lovers directly with producers. The vendor is based primarily in Florida, but travels with a few people from far away from Georgia and Indiana.

“Our annual plant sales are one of the most anticipated events of the season, bringing together a spectacular selection of communities, expert producers and a unique, high quality plants,” Jennifer Dhollander, executive director of Leu Gardens, said in an email statement. “It’s not just a sale. It’s a nature celebration, an opportunity to connect with gardening professionals, and an opportunity to transform your home or garden with something truly special. Whether you’re looking for unusual discoveries or just want to add a little more greenery to your life, this is where it should be.”

Plant shoppers are advised to bring a wagon or plant cart to carry purchases, but pets must stay at home. Most vendors accept credit cards. We recommend bringing cash.

Leu Gardens members will enter early for sale at 8am on both days. This ensures initial access to rare plants and special items. For non-members who can enter 9am, the event marks the perfect time to wander the gardens, buy plants and seek inspiration from gardening experts.
