Florida Tampa (WFLA) -Florida’s Wild Biological Protection Committee has announced on Thursday that 30 sea turtles have been rescued from cold water in Gulf County.
FWC’s two officers faced the cold weather from winter storms, brought about 6 to 8 inch snow, and saved turtles from cold water.

“Their effort is an example of our dedication to our mission to protect wildlife for their long -term success,” FWC posted on Facebook.
Executives, staff, and partners have been searching and rescue for cold sea turtles across the northwest coastline.
According to the FWC, the sea turtles may become cold when the water temperature decreases to 50 degrees.
When the sea turtles get cold, they become weak and cannot swim.
FWC advises the community to call the 888-404-3922 Wildlife Alert Hotline when you see the injured, suffering, or dead sea turtle, so that trained response can support animals.
