Miami has enviable weather, spectacular beaches and lively nightlife, but along with Hialea it ranks one of the worst cities in the United States for local tourism.
With rising inflation and the need to cut spending this summer, 82% of Americans are considering staying and taking advantage of what cities have to offer.
For residents of Miami and Hialea, they may be better off traveling.
Miami ranked 49th out of 182 cities analyzed using 41 metrics ranging from affordable prices to a variety of available activities, while Hialea ranked 178th.
Wallethub analyst Chipplepo said Miami is being hampered by high costs despite access to a variety of restaurants, nightlife options, festivals and water activities.
Ranked 159th in restaurant meal prices and 169th in massage costs. He also explained that the per capita park area is the lowest among the cities analyzed.

In Florida, the highest cities to stay are Orlando, second and seventh.
Orlando is ranked highly for its stay thanks to its wide range of activities. With numerous amusement parks, water parks, nightlife, festivals, zoos and arcades, there are a per capita arcade, so you can fill it up in a week with a variety of activities each day.
Orlando is a great place to eat out with a variety of affordable restaurants and plenty of ice cream shops during the hot summer months.
Tampa won 34 in recreational activities, 13 in food and 20 in relaxation activities.
According to a report from Wallethub, Cincinnati has won the list as the best city to stay in. The city has plenty of parks, pools and baseball fields to entertain and engage people, and to maintain affordable restaurants, beer gardens and ice cream shops.
