Jackson TWP. – Indoor Golf in 1899 closed its Stark County location later this month.
The company announced its decision to close at 4700 Everhard Road NW via a Facebook post on Sunday. The deadline is April 19th.
“We want to thank all the incredible customers who have appreciated your support over the years,” the post reads. “We would also like to thank the amazing staff who have been with us since the early days that made us feel like a small version of the cheers of 1899.”
The business spent nearly six years at a location in the Canton area. The company said it announced that the Twinsburg location will remain open.
Those with gift cards are encouraged to stop by or use by April 19th.
“Our entire team has been instrumental in 1899 over the years, but we would like to specifically acknowledge it to our two GMs, Kate and James. We would like to thank you for your leadership and commitment to 1899.”
Indoor golf in 1899 joins the 19th hole, closing in Stark County this year.
In 1899, indoor golf was not the only indoor golf spot in Stark County in recent years. Hole 19, a virtual golf and bar restaurant in downtown Canton, closed last month.
Many were disappointed when they saw the announcement in 1899 that indoor golf had been decided to close.
“I’m very sad to hear this,” one commenter wrote. “Thank you for holding my event here and allowing me to have such a great staff.”
“On February 1st, my wife invited dozens of golf buddies to the 1899 Canton for my 75th birthday party,” another wrote. “We had a great time. It was a great option for winter gifts.”
